Our Argan Oil is derived from the Argan trees that exclusively grow in the arid Moroccan desert strip between Marrakesh and Essaouira. These trees can endure harsh conditions, where other trees fail, and the process of extracting the oil is highly labor-intensive. Female farmworkers manually remove the fruit from the thorny tree branches, extract the kernel, and produce the precious oil. It takes approximately 15 hours of labor to produce one liter of Argan oil, which is why we are proud to support the native female workers who work tirelessly to make this nutty-flavored culinary delight.

Culinary Uses

Here are some recipe ideas that use culinary argan oil:

Moroccan salad dressing: Mix 1/4 cup of culinary argan oil, 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of honey, and 1 clove of minced garlic. Drizzle this dressing over a salad of mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives.

Tagine with chicken or lamb: A tagine is a traditional Moroccan stew that is slow-cooked in a special pot. To make it, brown chicken or lamb in a large skillet, and transfer it to a tagine pot with sliced onions, chopped tomatoes, sliced carrots, and a pinch of saffron. Drizzle with 1/4 cup of culinary argan oil and 1/2 cup of water, cover the pot and cook over low heat for about 2 hours.

Couscous salad: Cook couscous according to the package instructions, then toss it with chopped parsley, mint, diced cucumber, sliced cherry tomatoes, and crumbled feta cheese. Drizzle with a dressing made from 1/4 cup of culinary argan oil, 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of honey.

Roasted vegetables: Toss your favorite vegetables (such as carrots, beets, or sweet potatoes) with 2 tablespoons of culinary argan oil and a pinch of salt and pepper—Roast in a 400-degree oven for about 30 minutes or until tender and golden brown.

Almond and honey dip: Mix 1/4 cup of almond butter, 2 tablespoons of culinary argan oil, 1 tablespoon of honey, and a pinch of salt. Serve with sliced apples, carrots, or crackers for a healthy and delicious snack.

Moroccan Spiced Roasted Chickpeas: Toss cooked chickpeas with 1 tablespoon of culinary argan oil, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and a pinch of salt. Roast in a 400-degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until crispy.

Carrot and Orange Salad: Combine shredded carrots with orange segments, chopped pistachios, and a dressing made from 1/4 cup of culinary argan oil, 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed orange juice, and 1 tablespoon of honey.

Layer dish flavors

Previously I only had argon oil for skin and hair care. This is the first time I’m getting edible argon oil. It is organic food grade oil, with superior quality. It is very fresh, having a smooth texture.
It is versatile for all my cookings. I like to use it for my salad, adding nutty flavor to the salad. My salad tastes so delicious. I also use it for stir fry, baking or dipping. It layers flavors in my dishes, deepening and enhancing the taste of my meals.

Really Flavorful

This oil has a really smooth, nutty flavor. It's really tasty, and a great for finishing use (ramen, soups, salads, hummus). It doesn't need to be stored in the refrigerator after opening, but if you won't use it all within half a year, maybe consider it.

You ~could~ cook with it, but it's about 16/42/42 saturated/monounsatured/polyunsaturated fat... so pretty rich in unsaturated fats, which makes it easy to oxidize when heating it, so be very careful to not put it directly on a heating element.

This has quickly turned into one of my favorite flavoring oils.

Organic Moroccan Argan Oil

It’s the first time I try the Moroccan argan oil. I still like the flavor of this oil, and the argan oil is not change into a solid like coconut oil in cold place, and the storage temperature has little effect on it. The taste of argan oil has a nut aroma and taste nuts oil, but I think the taste is more like seasame and peanut oil, and its taste is great. Moreover, there is a USDA organic product logo, so I could eat it with confidence. Because it is cold pressed oil, I like to use it directly as a condiment instead of directly frying food. The best time to eat is before 2022/12/07, which is relatively fresh.
To be honest, I have used hair oil or skin care products that contain the argan oil formula. I like the moisturizing effect of this ingredient, so I also use the argan oil can be used externally for dry skin and hair, and although it has a flat fragrance, but only need a few drops can be ignored when used up.
